Spring Spiderlily Hymenocallis liriosme is an evergreen, 1’ – 2’ tall aquatic plant that occurs naturally in Louisiana wetlands. In spring, it has showy white flowers with narrow petals connected at their base by a thin membrane. This species grows best in partial shade, but can tolerate a wide variety of soil types. Use it for landscaping a water garden or in naturalized plantings at the edge of ponds, lakes, and other water bodies.
