Recovering Southwest Louisiana Prairies – Lafayette

Join UL’s Department of History, Geography, and Philosophy in welcoming Dr. Sara Le Menestrel, Director of the Center for North American Studies at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, Paris. Dr. Le Menestrel will be discussing her latest research project, which focuses on Southwest Louisiana Prairies and the Environmental Expertise of “Grass Farmers.”
The talk will take place in room 523 of H.L. Griffin Hall on the campus of UL Lafayette. Elevators will be open for general use, and parking is available at the nearby Girard Park Parking Tower. Dr. Le Menestrel’s visit is sponsored with generous funding from the Jamie and Thelma Guilbeau Charitable Trust.
