Edible Native Plants – Lafayette Public Library

Come learn about the edible native plants in your own backyard at this engaging talk by Dr. Charles Allen, an accomplished authority on the native plants of Louisiana and author of numerous books, including Edible Plants of the Gulf South. He offers popular classes at Allen Acres, the Allens’ nature sanctuary and Bed and Breakfast in Pitkin.
We’ve reserved the largest meeting room in the Lafayette Public Library system, so bring your friends and share the event. Socializing starts at 5:30 pm, with talk starting at 5:45.
Bring native plants and seeds to swap if you have them. Snacks always welcome.
