Briarwood Nature Preserve Talk – Winnfield

Join the Winn Parish Garden Club to learn about native plants that grow in our area and learn about Briarwood Nature Preserve located in Saline. A presentation by Bayli Brossette, Curator of Briarwood Nature Preserve, on the life and legacy of Caroline Dormon, Louisiana’s pioneering botanist and conservationist. She will discuss how Dormon’s passion for native plants shaped the preserve and influenced the creation of Kisatchie National Forest. It will be your chance to explore Briarwood’s rich history and ongoing conservation efforts.
