Abbeville Red Iris – Palmetto Island State Park

Thursday May 9, 9 am. You are invited to a presentation by Patrick O’Connor about the I. nelsonii iris, also known as the Abbeville Red iris.  O’Connor is a nationally recognized Louisiana iris expert and President of the Greater New Orleans Iris Society. This free 45-minute presentation will be at the Palmetto Island State Park meeting room near the Abbeville Red iris planting in the park’s boardwalk swamp.
