Backyard Habitat Gardener (BHG) is a get your hands in the dirt program developed by the University Cooperative Extension Network that introduces young gardeners (ages 7-10) to natural habitat gardening which is a place where native plants, bird, butterflies, bees, toads, and other little creatures live in harmony. BHG is offered three times a year: spring (two-day Easter Camp), summer (early June), and fall (two-day Thanksgiving Camp) from 9am-1pm.
Creative and nutritious snacks will be provided in the morning. Parents, please provide a brown bag lunch and drink. Registration for Friends of Hilltop Arboretum Members is $50 and $85 for Non-Members (includes an annual membership).
In a garden full of native blooms, butterflies, and bees…it’s a wonderful place to be!
