Swamp Titi Cyrilla racemiflora is a semi-evergreen shrub (12’ X 10’) that occurs naturally in backwater swamps, baygalls, and along streams in moist to wet, sandy-acidic soils. It performs well in a wide variety of garden soils exposed to full sun or part shade; once Swamp Titi is well established, it can tolerate dry soils.
Attractive landscape features include showy, creamy-white flowers in June that transform into seeds of golden yellow, and by Summer’s end, brown; in Winter, its foliage display consists of a mix of yellow, red, and green leaves. Swamp Titi is best suited for naturalized plantings where it attracts native bees and birds.
